Youth Theatre Summer School
The ECC is running its youth theatre summer school again from 4-8 and 11-15 July, 2022 – for children aged between 6 and 16 years old.
The week’s activities will be based around Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and will include: acting workshops, group singing and vocal exercises, dance choreography and movement workshops. We’ll be rehearsing scenes adapted for the stage from Roald Dahl’s book, while throwing in a few twists of our own.
We understand that singing and dancing may not be every child’s dream, and we specifically encourage those who are curious to learn about what happens backstage. This year we will offer workshops in: costume design, set and prop-making, hair and make-up, lighting (designing and operating), sound design and foley effects. Children are welcome to participate in all the activities.
The Summer School will take place at the Warehouse Studio Theatre, Rue Waelhem 69A, 1030 Bruxelles.
The days’s activities will run from 9h until 17h each day with supervised child minding from 8h in the mornings and until 18h each afternoon.
The cost for the week will be €200 per child with a 25% reduction for any siblings (€150).
Steve O’Byrne, a member of the ECC committee, is organising the week, with Stephen Challens (EYT teacher), leading the drama activities. They are being assisted and supported with the various talents of Patrick Maher, James Hogan, Rosarinho Baylina, Geneviève Lacroix, Caroline Maba, Rosslyn Wythes, Emma Watkinson.
Please complete a separate registration form for each child.
