Auditions for Pygmalion (by George Bernard Shaw)

The ECC will be performing Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw in the second half of April at the Warehouse Studio Theatre and we are looking for actors for the following roles:


  • Eliza Doolittle (a flower girl), female, age 20-30
    Required accent: Cockney and Upper RP (posh)
  • Henry Higgins (a professor), male, age 40-60
    Required accent: British RP
  • Colonel Pickering (a professor, ex military), male, age 50-70
    Required accent: Upper RP (posh)
  • Alfred Doolittle (Father to Eliza), male, age 40-60
    Required accent: Cockney
  • Mrs Pearce (Higgins’ housekeeper), female, age 40-70
    Preferred accent: GB (Scottish, Welsh, RP) or Irish
  • Mrs Higgins (Higgins’ mother), female, age late 50s-70
    Required accent: upper RP
  • Mrs Eynsford Hill (a friend of Mrs Higgins, Mother to Clara and Freddy), female, age 40-60
    Required accent: very posh
  • Freddy Eynsford Hill (brother to Clara, in love with Eliza), age 20-35
    Required accent: very posh
  • Clara Eynsford Hill (Sister to Freddy), female, age 15-25
    Required accent: very posh
  • Two bystanders, male or female, any age
    Required accent: Cockney

The age is an indication as to how old the characters could be. It does not mean that you have to be that age yourself, but rather that you can play a character within that age group.

Prior character research not required but encouraged.

Auditions will be held at The Warehouse, 73 rue Waelhem, 1030 Brussels on the following dates:

  • Monday, December 3rd at 20.00
  • Wednesday, December 5th at 20.00
  • Sunday, December 9th at 17.00
