Following on from the successful productions of Jack & the Beanstalk in December 2013 and Aladdin in January 2015, the ECC is proud to present a brand new panto – Dick Whittington and His Magical Cat! This well-loved British tale is (very loosely!) based on the legends surrounding Richard Whittington (Lord Mayor of London from 1354-1423) and is told with humour and energy – great fun for all the family.
Dick Whittington leaves a country village with his cat, Tommy, to make his fortune in London, where the streets are paved with gold. When he arrives he finds, instead streets overrun by rats.
This launches Dick on an adventure that takes him from London to Brussels and beyond. Along the way, he meets the girl of his dreams, Alice, as well as Alderman Fitzgerald, Sarah the Cook, King Rat and many, many others, including you!
Bursting with humour, songs and magic, this show will delight young and old. Oh, yes it will!
Performances are on Friday 8 January (20:00), and Saturday and Sunday 9-10 January (13:30, 17:00), at the Auderghem Cultural Centre, Boulevard du Souverain 183, 1160 Brussels.
Tickets (€16 for adults, €12 for children) are available from http://thelittleboxoffice.com/ecc.
